Acer has unveiled a revolutionary new way of working and exercising that is both active and sustainable. The eKinekt BD 3 is a unique combination of a desk and stationary bike that enables users to multitask while powering their device with kinetic energy generated from pedaling. This innovative machine offers riders the flexibility to adjust the desk height, resistance, and seat height to customize their experience based on their needs.
60 RPM can generate up to 75 watts
The LCD display combined with a companion smartphone app provide riders with real-time information on their progress in workouts or work sessions, offering motivation to stay on track. With every pedal stroke, kinetic energy is transformed into an electric charge that can power devices while riding; one hour of cycling at 60 RPM can generate up to 75 watts of self-generated power. There are two modes: Working Mode where the desk surface moves closer to the chair for an upright typing position, and Sports Mode where the desktop drops down lower for an ergonomic riding experience.
Two USB ports
Not only is the bike desk equipped with two USB Type-A and one USB Type-C port for multiple mobile device charging, but it also features a bag hook and an integrated beverage holder allowing users to stay hydrated throughout their ride. The companion smartphone app allows users to review their progress over time, such as duration, calories burned, and watts generated.
The bike desk comes with two different modes; Working Mode and Sports Mode. This allows the user to shift positions while pedaling in order to focus on tasks or workouts accordingly. It also includes an adjustable seat post so that individuals of any height can comfortably use the bike desk without strain or fatigue — perfect for those long hours of work!
Additionally, the eco-friendly design of the bike desk encourages sustainability and ethical manufacturing practices. Through green materials like PCR Plastic which is derived from post-consumer exports, production processes are kept as environmentally friendly as possible. Not only does this help conserve natural resources and reduce emissions from plastic waste, but it also gives back to our planet by providing energy savings during manufacturing processes.
A new companion smartphone app is making it easier for fitness and cycling enthusiasts to track their progress and keep up with the latest trends in cycling. The app allows users to easily review their progress over time, offering detailed insights like duration of each session, calories burned, and watts generated. This app provides an all-encompassing view of data that helps users stay informed about their performance and make improvements.
